Dermatology Grand Rounds

The Dermatology Grand Round is organized weekly basis for both academic and clinical purpose, in which specialists, trainees, medical students are welcome to join.

Dermatopathology Meeting

The Dermatopathology meeting is jointly held bi-monthly with Department of Pathology. Dr Trendell Nigel Smith is one of the leading dermato-pathologist renowned in the field. Cases with academic and clinical interests will be presented and discussed in the meeting.

Research/Journal Club Meeting

Our division is devoted in researches including dermatology medicine and energy-based medicine where research meeting /journal club is held regularly with our academic staffs and research assistants.  

Joint Scientific Activities

1/ Certificate Course in Clinical Dermatology (since 2008)

It is jointly organized yearly by the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care and Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine  The University of Hong Kong. This postgraduate course aims to promote primary care physicians’ knowledge and skills in care of the patients with dermatological problems, comprising 10 seminars to be conducted by specialists in dermatology, plastic surgery, paediatrics and microbiology using a problem-oriented-approach. For more information: Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care (hku.hk)

2/ Annual Scientific Meeting, Hong Kong College of Dermatologist (HKCD) & Hong Kong Society of Paediatric Dermatology (HKSPD), Nov 2018
The meeting is jointly organised by HKCD and HKSPD and provided a platform for sharing views and updates on Dermatology, including acne and rosacea, psoriasis and eczema and cosmetics Dermatology.

3/ 5th Continent Congress, Medical & Cosmetic Dermatology, Shenzhen, China, 11-13 Jan 2019
This 3-day Congress is supported by the Department of Dermatology at HKU-Shenzhen Hospital. It is a world’s leading conference on various aspects of emerging therapies in Eczema and Psoriasis, new treatments on Acne and Rosacea, aesthetic medicine and emerging technologies.
