Detail: The interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) encompass a large number of conditions, with a wide range of causes, clinical manifestations, and imaging and pathological features, as well as variable outcomes. Despite the intrinsic heterogeneity, a number of ILDs are characterized by pulmonary fibrosis. The approach and management of pulmonary fibrosis will be discussed.

Detail: There is an increasing use of surgical bioprosthetic heart valves over mechanical heart valves in the last decade. These valves are usually made from bovine or porcine tissue. A concern is the potential issue of degeneration with time and associated significant clinical impact. This grand round highlights the updated status and guidelines of TAVR in management of native and degenerative surgical valve diseases and technology advances in 2024.
