Kick-Off Ceremony for Centennial Celebrations
To kick off a series of Centennial Celebrations, the Department hosted a ceremony at the 27th Hong Kong Medical Forum (HKMF) on May 13, 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It was our great honour that the Honourable John KC Lee (Chief Executive of HKSAR) and Prof. Lo Chung-mau (Secretary for Health, HKSAR Government) officiated the ceremony. Joining them were other distinguished guests, including Ms. Priscilla Wong Pui-sze (Council Chairman, HKU), Prof. Lau Chak-sing (Dean of Medicine, HKU), Prof. Rosie Young (Emeritus Professor, HKU), Mr. Henry Fan Hung-ling (Chairman, Hospital Authority), Dr. Tony Ko Pat-sing (Chief Executive, Hospital Authority), Dr. Theresa Li Tak-lai (Cluster Chief Executive, Hong Kong West Cluster, Hospital Authority), as well as 1,000 participants, all adding significance to this momentous occasion.$

Centenary Gala Dinner
The Centenary Gala Dinner was held on November 11, 2023 at the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel. Over 300 alumni, faculty members, donors and friends gathered to partake in this feast, celebrating the Department's accomplishments over the past century.
We are honoured to have the presence of Mr K.K. Chan, Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR, as our Guest of Honour at this historical moment. The event featured a live performance for the first time of the Department’s Centenary Song “A Miracle Within 內有乾坤” by staff and students, adding an extra touch of splendor to the festivities.
